I don't understand the concept of having a league affiliation. I like my team and I like baseball....in that order. So if my team isn't in it, I'm just choosing a team I like to win it all (or, in the case of this year's WS, a team that isn't the team I hate most). While I like to see the AL win the All Star Game now because of home field advantage, prior to Bud Selig implementing that, I used to watch the All Star Games just for the fun of it - not really caring which team won.

I never understood it. I always rooted for the American League with the exception of the 1988 Oakland A's as I just did not like them. But being a Yankee fan since 1962 my Dad taught me you root for the AL and I did in 67,75,86,04,and 07. I take flack from fellow Yankee fans because I root for the Sox but can't help it. Hate is not something I want to do in life. I don't even hate Marxists and liberals I just laugh at their constant failures
