If you are lucky enough to get something that you’ve waited your entire life for the hope is that you’ll appreciate it when it comes around.  I think it’s fair to say that most Red Sox fans appreciated the hell out of the 2004 World Series win.

My Red Sox fandom has always been a big part of who I am so, while it might sound ridiculous to those who don’t get it, 2004 made a tremendous difference in my life. October 27th will always hold a special place in my heart. It changed how I am as a fan and really did make my life a bit better.

Thanks for that, Red Sox.

    I couldn’t agree more. The moment they won, life somehow became better. I can still watch the video of the last out and I tear up. What a magical time the whole run was and something I will always remember as the happiest time of my life.
